A specialist service for people with dual sensory loss
If you have dual sensory loss, communicating with others and accessing information can be very difficult.
Our specialist support workers act as your eyes and ears, helping you to stay as active and as independent as possible. This could include:
- Supporting you to travel to the supermarket to do your weekly shop, describing items so you can make purchases of your choice
- Helping to set up medical appointments or accompanying you to the hospital
- Helping you to attend a social activity or group where you can meet and interact with others.
Our expert guides can communicate through a variety of methods including British Sign Language, Deafblind Manual, clear speech, lip reading or pictorial and symbol systems.
