Rutland Information Service

CAMHS Intellectual Disability Service

The team supports young people with a moderate to profound learning/intellectual disability (as defined within ICD10) who are also experiencing mental health difficulties and/or associated behaviours.

We also assess for ASD and ADHD and undertake assessment and input regarding sleep difficulties.

Patients are seen in our outpatient service where they are allocated a clinician to work with parents and the child to understand and manage their difficulties more effectively.

If required, further intense input can be provided through our outreach service within the family home.

The outreach service will also respond to crisis situations to provide input where required for cases already open to the service.
