Our Paediatric Audiology Service provides hearing tests for all children who meet one or more of our routine risk criteria or where there is a concern raised about their hearing.
We can test children from the age of 7 months up to the age of 16 years (or 19 years if they attend a Special School).
We also offer a routine hearing screen in all state primary schools, usually at around five or six years of age.
Our team includes paediatric audiologists and hearing screeners.
The service is delivered in collaboration with the University Hospitals of Leicester and Education Departments of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Parents and carers of children referred to our service will receive a letter inviting them to call and make a convenient appointment at one of our community clinics.
