Oak House is a small residential care home situated in the centre of the village of Greetham in Rutland. Oak house is registered to care for up to 25 elderly residents, in single rooms all with their own en-suite facilities. There is a tranquil garden to the rear of the home, with a brook flowing through the grounds, which is home to numerous wildfowl and the occasional Water Vole.
The home prides itself on its high staffing levels and its quality training programme, ensuring top quality care. We never use 'agency staff' and recruit locally from within the Rutland and Stamford areas. We are not registered to look after people with dementia or 'Alzheimer's' as the home is close to a busy main road and we operate an 'open door policy', ensuring our residents are treated as part of the community. We employ activity organisers, hold regular musical afternoons, floristry sessions, poetry and book reading sessions, and aromatherapy. We offer free chiropody as part of the fees.
We currently have a large ground floor room with a full on suite (including bath with its own hoist), which has wide doorways for the less mobile resident or resident with a wheelchair.
We also offer respite care (subject to availability) in a dedicated ground floor room. Booking is essential as this is a very popular resource.
