The BDA is the UK’s leading membership organisation and registered charity run by Deaf people for Deaf people.

The BDA delivers a range of services to achieve its aims of empowering Deaf people to overcome difficulties that they face on a daily basis.

Information provision

Providing accessible information through the British Deaf News and BDA’s website that is fully accessible in English and BSL formats.

Advocacy work

Working with individuals or groups to empower them to have their views heard and listened to, to ensure  service providers are aware of Deaf equality/rights, and to ensure that Deaf people have access to clear and full information to make informed decisions when dealing with service providers.
