Longhurst Lifeline & Assistive Technology Service

**Covid-19 update - Our Lifeline & AT service remains operational and we are taking necessary precautions to protect our customers and staff.

We can also provide advice and guidance over the phone regarding equipment that may help you or someone you care for to stay safe and well at home during the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak**

We offer a range of equipment to help you remain safe and independent within your home. This includes a Lifeline service and additional tailored equipment solutions to meet your needs.

Our Lifeline service enables you to call for help at the touch of a button from anywhere in your home or garden. It's available 24 hours a day, providing you and your family peace of mind that help is always on hand should you feel unwell or need assistance.

It consists of a base unit that connects to your telephone line and comes with a pendant that can be worn around the neck or wrist. Pressing the red button on the pendant will automatically alert our 24-hour monitoring centre, where a trained operator will arrange help by contacting a family member, friend or the emergency services.

The service is available to anyone, of any age. After the 6-week free trial period, customers can opt to pay for the service if they feel it has been of benefit.

The standard Lifeline service costs £4 per week (telephone line required). This includes provision of the lifeline unit and pendant, the 24-hour response centre support and maintenance of the equipment. This is payable by weekly / monthly Direct Debit or one off annual payment. We can also provide Lifeline units that do not require a telephone from £5.80 per week.

The charges do not include VAT as many customers with health needs are VAT exempt.  A VAT relief form will need to be signed on installation.
