The Museum is now hosting Cinema for Rutland, It takes place on the first Thursday and the third Friday of every month at the Rutland County Museum.

Friday 18th November 2016 – The Man Who Knew Infinity – (2015) (Biography, Drama)

The story of the life and academic career of the pioneer Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan, and his friendship with his mentor, Professor G.H. Hardy.
Starring: Dev Patel, Jeremy Irons, Malcolm Sinclair.

Thursday 1st December 2016 – Bridge of Spies – (2015) (Biography, Drama)

During the Cold War an American lawyer defends a Soviet spy in court, helping to facilitate the exchange of his client for a captured US spy pilot.

Friday 16th December 2016 – The Jungle Book – (2016) (Biography, Drama)
After a threat from the tiger Shere Khan forces him to flee the jungle, a man-cub named Mowgli embarks on a journey of self discovery with the help of a panther, Bagheera, and free spirited bear, Baloo.
Starring: Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley.

Thursday 5th January 2017 – Love and Friendship – (2016) (Drama, Period Comedy)

Set in the English countryside and based on a Jane Austen novel, ‘Lady Susan’, which was written early in her career.
Starring Kate Beckinsale, Chloe Sevigny and Xavier Samuel.

Friday 20th January 2017 – Joy – (2015) (Biography, Drama)

Joy is the story of the title character, who rose to become founder and matriarch of a powerful family business dynasty.
Starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert de Niro.
