The Leicestershire Recovery College offers a range of educational courses and resources for people with lived mental health experience, their friends, family, carers and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust staff.
The courses are designed to contribute to wellbeing and recovery, supporting people to recognise their own resourcefulness and talents in order to become experts in their own self-care, make informed choices and achieve the things they want to in life.
Based at Glenfield Hospital, the College is now offering courses in Rutland and Melton three times a year.
Coming up there’s a Creative Writing course in Oakham on 10 October and a six week Comedy for Recovery course in Melton starting 24 October.
To attend a course, you need to enrol online, call 0116 295 1196, or at one of the monthly drop-ins at Oakham Library or Melton Mowbray Library:
Oakham Library drop-ins: Mondays 1.30-3.30pm on 9 and 30 September.
Melton Library drop-ins: Mondays 10am–12 noon on 9 and 30 September.
