This project trains young people in year 11 or 12 to run mental health and wellbeing workshops with younger pupils.
The project:
- introduces mental health as something that we all have, like physical health.
- encourages students to think about ways to stay well, how to seek help and support friends.
- introduces common myths around mental health, and the stigma and discrimination people experience as a result.
You can find out if your school or college offers the Peer Education Project by contacting your pastoral care team.
