Life Skills

As we get older, it’s important to learn life skills to be more independent and to develop as we become adults. Life skills include cooking, cleaning, budgeting, looking after ourselves and more.

You can either:

  • Click the 'view all services' button to see all services that could help you learn life skills.
  • Type what you are looking for in the 'keywords' box to search for services.

Aiming High

The Aiming High team support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

As well as offering support, they also run lots of groups and activities. These can help you to develop social skills, making friends, building confidence, trying new things and experiences, and more.

Preparing for Adulthood guide

Rutland County Council and Rutland Parent Carer Voice have put together a guide to supporting you into adulthood.

The guide aims to provide you with information to help you become as independent as possible and live a fulfilling life.
