Rutland has produced guidance for early years, primary and secondary schools and settings on identifying and supporting children and young people with special educational needs. It sets out:
- a clear and consistent approach to identifying when a child or young person has special educational needs and how to support them to achieve good outcomes
- expectations of what schools and settings will put in place for the funding that they receive
- includes an introduction for parents and guidance about good practice when holding a review meeting
The Special Educational Needs Code of Practice outlines the guidance on the different levels of support that are available.
