Holiday Childcare - Summer 2020

The government has produce guidance for parents and carers covering changes to after-school clubs, holiday clubs, tuition, community activities and other out-of-school settings for children and young people over the age of 5 during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Many parents & carers have questions about their child’s education, as well as the return to school of their Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children.

The Department for Education (DfE) has developed the following guidance and resources to support and inform parents & carers at this time:

Regarding Early Years settings and primary schools:

• Guidance on supporting learning at home for children aged 2 - 4
• Guidance on helping primary school children continue their education
• Guidance for schools on writing statutory end of year reports for parents

Regarding secondary schools and Further Education:

• Guidance for Futher Education colleges and providers
