Rutland Information Service

You said, we did...changes to the RIS

Woman using computer animation

We have made some recent changes to the Rutland Information Service website which we hope will make the site an even handier resource for you and your family:

  • You can now find the Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts of organisations or services you are interested in on the RIS (we are progressively adding these to the site).  If your organisation’s social media details are not yet listed, please send them through to the or, if you are registered, you can log in and add them yourself.

  • When you find an organisation or event you are interested in, you can click through to see Google directions from your starting point to the venue, whether by car, public transport or on foot.

  • It’s now easier to let us know if you spot a listing that needs to be updated.

Would you like to help us to make the RIS website work better for you?

Usability testing is a great way to find out how well a website is working for its users.

We undertake regular usability testing on the Rutland Information Service and are looking for volunteers.

The process typically takes around half an hour and can be done remotely if you have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone. You undertake a number of realistic tasks while thinking aloud, such as: find a summer club for your children, a peer support group for people who have had a stroke or help with debt. We learn lots from this that helps us to improve user journeys for everyone.

You do not need any special skills or experience to take part – it’s about sharing how the site feels to real users. If you would like to take part, please email
